VAM® ACE was designed in 1985, in parallel to NEW VAM®. VAM® ACE combines a metal-to-metal seal, the "VAM® effect" design, and a 3° reverse angle on the load flank to provide superior tensile strength.

VAM® ACE has been field proven for more than 20 years in the most demanding environments throughout the world.

However, since 1985, drilling techniques have advanced tremendously. Consequently, technical requirements have followed the same trend: technical specifications, including the latest version of ISO 13679, have been updated.
