VAM® 21 Success in StatoilHydro First Commercial Run - 45 years after launching the first generation of VAM® connections, VAM® 4th generation T&C premium connection VAM® 21 was successfully run as a first commercial deployment for StatoilHydro offshore Norway, May 13th, 2009.

VALLOUREC & MANNESMANN TUBES (V & M TUBES) has been supplying SEA VAM® TTR, a threaded and coupled connection for Top Tensioned Riser (TTR) applications since 2005.

VAM® Changzhou threaded the first tubes in October 2007. Since, production has been ramping up and the team is now mastering the production of VAM® TOP to serve our Chinese clients.

V & M TUBES sponsored the 10th edition of the Expandable Technology Forum on October 30th-31st in Château Pommery in Reims, France.

On Friday 13 July, a 5 1/2'' x 17 lbs/ft VM50 VAM ET WISE expandable string was successfully run (with no rejects) and expanded in the 7'' section of a well in the Middle-East desert.

A successful field trial confirms V&M do Brasil qualification to manufacture V&M most innovative solution for the environment. From now on, V&M customers can count on the Brazilian facility to order the dope free premium connection.

V&M would like to answer to customers and Licensees' questions by officially stating that genuine VAM connections are not compatible with VAM copies.

In June 2005, VAM PTS ran the first dope free integral connections in the Gulf of Mexico.

Following the success in July 2004 of the CLEANWELL rig demonstration in Aberdeen performed by VMOG UK, witnessed by many North Sea operators, Petro-Canada has successfully achieved its first UK field run of V & M Tubes' CLEANWELL dope free system.

A demonstration of the V & M dope-free solution, CLEANWELL was performed on the DTL Rig., Aberdeen Bridge of Don. The reliability of the industrial efficiency of V & M CLEANWELL solution was confirmed to be ''field practical''

Late April to early May, the world's first 7-5/8'' 13Cr solid expandable tubular was run in Malaysia. During these jobs V&M has demonstrated once again its ability to develop, manufacture, supply & support the oil industry with efficient gas tight expandable products.
