VAM Field Service International in Aberdeen, UK organise training seminars which are known as

VAM Awareness Schools are provided in response to end users (Oil Company) request for training for casing crew and inspection companies about field use of pipes, threaded connections and VAM threads.

These schools are designed to train the Casing Crew Chiefs and local inspection companies personnel of handling, field inspection and running of VAM Connections. The seminars are designed to be specific to the needs of the end user and therefore only cover the connections that are relevant. These seminars are non certificated and do not qualify or approve personnel to run or field repair VAM connections.

VAM Awareness Schools are not available to inspection companies in locations where VAM Field Service Inspection Companies already operate and provide this service.

• Option 1: School at Aberdeen - within the VAM Services premises at the plant of VALLOUREC & MANNESMANN TUBES
• Option 2: School at Local premises - at the Oil Company, Casing Crew or Inspection Company premises or at any convenient place.

For Oil Companies

In addition to the VAM schools dedicated either to those who manufacture the VAM connections or those who use the VAM products on the field. VALLOUREC MANNESMANN OIL & GAS may organise various customised sessions covering any subjects in relation with Oil Country Tubular Goods and VAM products.

AIM

The purpose of these sessions to inform our actual or future customers about the manufacturing processes, the range of product offered, the quality control, the research and development facilities…. Or any other subject already covered by the other types of VAM Schools.

"A LA CARTE" TOPICS AND SESSION PROGRAMME

The customer may propose the topics of interest for the proposed audience.

PROGRAMME

The form of these sessions may vary between a simple 2 hours mill tour up to a 3 days tour including lectures and visits of several mills (from steel cast to tubing/casing or drill pipes finishing).

Due to the high concentration of VMOG sites in the North of France the preferred location is therefore the French mills of AULNOYE and VALENCIENNES. However other location may be considered in places closer to the customer as our plants in: Indonesia, Brazil, UK…

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

These sessions are open to all Oil Companies personnel and limited to 6 persons maxi (for higher number: Proposal on case by case basis)
It is strongly recommended to register groups of consistent level or responsibility or interest.
The lectures, mill tours and all other costs incurred (travel, hotel…) are born by the attendees.

This is in response to the licensees demand for information about pipes , threaded connections and VAM threads, but also to fill in the lack of knowledge as witnessed sometimes during our visits and Licensee's VAM Audits.These seminars are designed to train the technical personnel of our Licensees in the VAM joint technology and increase their awareness with the aid of all material and documentation relative to VAM: drawings, manufacturing notes,gauges and gauging practices, Technical Specification for LIcensee ( TSLI ), etc..etc..

• Option 1: School at Aulnoye - within the VAM Services premises at the plant of VALLOUREC & MANNESMANN TUBES in Aulnoye-Aymeries, near Valenciennes, North of France. (about 250 km / 160 mile from Paris)
• Option 2: School at Licensee - at the licensee premises or at any convienent place.
